“Living Beyond Ritual: A Soulful Reflection on Spirituality“
When people speak about spirituality, they often reduce it to rituals—prayers, fasts, sacred words, and structured practices. And while those are beautiful and important, they are only the surface of something far more profound.
For me, spirituality is not always about one specific religion—it is a journey of the soul. It’s the way we connect with the unseen world, the way we commune with the universe, and how we recognize the divine both within us and around us.
Throughout my life, I’ve experienced spiritual moments that shaped me far beyond what any textbook or doctrine could offer. I’ve had vivid dreams, sacred visions, and encounters that felt like whispers from another dimension. I’ve dreamt of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), met guardians made of light, been offered the “third eye,” and witnessed energy that exists beyond the visible. These moments didn’t come because I chased them. They came as reminders—that I am a soul walking a sacred path, even when the world feels chaotic.
But those moments, no matter how magical, are not the goal.
The real depth of spirituality lies in this one question:
“How far do we embed our rituals into our lives?”
Because it’s one thing to bow in prayer, and another to walk the world in humility.
It’s one thing to fast, and another to live with discipline.
It’s one thing to read sacred texts, and another to speak with compassion when we’re angry or misunderstood.
True spirituality isn’t in the ritual alone—it’s in the values we live by.
For me, those values include:
- Compassion – not just for others, but for my past self and my wounds
- Gratitude – for both joy and pain, because both shaped me
- Truth – not just spoken, but felt and aligned with action
- Non-judgment – because I’ve been judged, and I know how it crushes the spirit
- Stillness – because in silence, I hear what words can’t say
- Surrender – not passive giving up, but active trust in God’s timing
As a soul temporarily living in a human body, I believe we are here to experience, to learn, and to evolve. We are guests on this Earth, and Earth is not the only realm. I believe with all my being that there are many more lives, energies, and truths out there—things we haven’t even begun to understand yet. And it will take humility, knowledge, and openness to explore them.
This is why I seek more. Not to “have” more, but to remember more.
To remember who I was before the pain, before the shame, before the human roles.
To live in alignment—not just with faith, but with frequency.
So yes, I pray. I fast. I reflect.
But more importantly, I strive to become the kind of soul my rituals point me toward.
And in that, I find peace.
